So it’s come to our attention that most of the alpha positions are currently held by staff members. While this is perfectly okay, we still think that regular members should have the option to go after these positions. Andee and I have agreed that a new rule should be added in order to allow this. From now on, any character may challenge an existing alpha for their position. This can be done in character or out of character, however the fight must be carried out in-character and monitored by a staff member. The two players may settle who will win, or, if they both still want the power, may ask the staff member to judge the victor.
Should the fight be judged by the staff, it will be judged on the following things:
Character’s motivation: How much does each character want the position? How motivated are they during the fight?
Character ability: How skilled of a fighter is each character? How much does weight and height figure into the battle?
Role-playing ability: How well is each character portrayed by their player? How well written are the posts? This does not necessarily mean the longer posts will win; we’re looking for quality, a unique writing style, and good grammar more than anything else.
Rules: Does each player follow the site rules? God-moding or power-playing will result in immediate disqualification from the fight.
Additionally, the characters or players may come to an agreement on additional rules for the fight if they so choose. So, get out there and start giving our alphas a run for their money!
