Alice | The Nightmare In Your Dreams

The large black and white cat crouched low behind the bushes stalking her prey. It was a fairly large buck, grazing with a few other members of its herd. The icy blue eyes narrowed as she licked her muzzle. She hadn't eaten in weeks and today was her chance to gain back some food. She took a caution step forward, making sure she was as quiet as the air around her. The she-cat bit the bottom of her lip as she continued to walk closer and closer but suddenly, Crack. The wolf still stayed quiet even after she stepped on the now broken twig. Crap! The large buck shot its head up and scanned the area. Alice stayed low as possible praying that it wouldn't catch her scent.

After a few seconds that felt like hours the buck went back to grazing. The tigress let out a light sigh in relief and took one more step closer. When she felt that she could surely kill the buck she pounced onto the buck. It lashed and bucked trying to kick Alice off it but failed. She ripped out its throat and let it fall to the ground after she jumped off. This should keep me full for a few days She mused happily to herself as she started to eat. Blood covered her paws and muzzle. She wasn't in the mood to share if another cat came but didn't worry. The stained coat would probably give a good sign not to come any closer.

Sain was crouching low in the snow covered grass. He would stand out and he knew it. His golden pelt reflected the cold, winter sun and his bright golden-brown eyes were staring at the White tiger and the buck she had tooken down. He wouldn't be able to stalk, so he stole loners food. He didn't care that she had blood covering her muzzle or paws. He stood up and began walking up to her. His mouth was open as he breathed in, both the tigress and buck's scent.

"Do you mind sharing with a lion? I haven't eaten in weeks and I can't catch anything in the winter with my pelt's color and all," he said, his eyes glowing with hunger.

The large cat growled as she smelled the scent of another cat. Once Alice heard a voice s crouched low by her kill and growled at the Lion. He had asked her to share my food with him, making her give another growl. "Well, It isn't my vault winter is no time for a lion. Now you know how some of us white ones feel in the spring and summer!" She hissed, her voice like poison acid. "You are still a cat, are you not? You will manage to kill something." She snarled. Pathetic, asking for another cat's food, she thought bitterly. "The rabbits are not that hard" She added under her breath. The black and cat felt no sympathy to the lion. She had killed this buck and it was hers.

Sain snarled and growled a little bit. "Why can't I have a leg or something? That's all I need until I think of a plan to hunt in these days," he growled. He crouched low now, slowly walking towards the tigress and the buck. He was about 2 feet away now, but didn't dare touch anything, but the snow on the ground. His mane blew in the icy cold breeze. He looked up at her and sat up now.

Alice stared at the lion. Her blood boiled as her eyes danced with anger. " Why? Why you ask?" The she-cat snarled. "I killed this this buck, there for it is mine." She watched him get closer and closer to her. "If you were a true wild cat you would work for your own food" I spat, flicking my tail. The icy cold wind pierced my skin. "If you can not catch your own food then you are no more then a pathetic house cat. The ones that the twolegs keep as pets, as slaves" She bared her teeth at the lion giving him his warning.

Ruko padded toward the stream. She wanted to get something to drink, and then she would set off to find the Traitors. She hoped her brother would be there with them, or she would at least catch his scent on the way there. Still, she wasn't expecting much. It was possible her brother could just be... She shook her head. She didn't want to think about that possibility.

As she bent down to lap the water, her ears twitched, and she heard some snarling voices. Taking a long draught of the cool water, she listened quietly to the increasingly violent conversation. Padding quietly toward the noise, she saw a white tiger and a lion snarling at each other over the body of a dead buck. Her stomach rumbled quietly at the buck's body, reminding herself that she hadn't eaten for quite a bit. She began to creep away, but then took a second glance at the two cats. The white tiger looked especially scary, with bloodstains on her coat, and the lion was still terrifyingly huge. If they saw her, she was dead. Her only way out of this was to stay put until they went away.

Ruko bent down as quietly as she could in the bushes, but still made a small rustle. She prayed that they would think the rustle was the cold wind that was chilling her right now and that they wouldn't catch her scent. Shivering slightly, her emerald eyes watched the two large cats.

Sain growled at her response, but suddenly he heard a rustle. His golden eyes narrowed as he turned towards the rustle. He bared his teeth as he saw Emerald green eyes. "Come out from over there," he growled. He was hungery and the tigress was making him angry. She had called him a house cat. She was lucky that something interrupted him or he would've attacked.

The black and white tigress lifted her head and looked toward the bushes. The wind carried the scent of another cat. Ugh, How many cats must come? She though mentally rolling her eyes. She relaxed her stance and started to eat her kill again, still keeping an eye on the Lion and the bushes. Though the lion had angered her, she acted as if nothing had happened. As the lion asked for the other cat to come out of hiding Alice gave a small smirk.

"Oh just leave the cat alone" The tigress muttered under her breath. 'Let them die in the bushes' she added bitterly in her thoughts. Her icy blue eyes stared at the lion for a moment trying to read what he was going to do. If the other cat had meant harm he would do the dirty work for her. She would just drag her kill somewhere else. I swallowed a piece of meat and lifted my head trying to get a better scent of the other cat.

Sain heard the Tigress began to eat then stop. He mentally smiled. ~Here's me chance.~ he thought. He unsheathed his claws quickly, but quietly and swiped one of his paws at the Tigress' face. He roared, hoping to bring on a fight. Who ever won could get the buck he thought. His eyes burned with competition and he raised to all four paws.

Turning, he bounded a few feet away so she couldn't really counter attack that quickly. He stopped and turned to face the tigress. He smiled.

"Winner gets all?" he asked adding a growl to his voice.

The Lion pounced on me. Alice had expected it and was prepared. When the Lion had swatted her face she jumped back but still getting minnior damage. Though there was no blood she had felt the stinging. She had experienced this kind of pain long enough to not even feel it. The tigress snarled, going straight into a protective stance. She would not give up so easily and would win what was hers

The large cat let out a small grin and started to walk in a large circle around the lion, her back never facing away from him. The icy blue eyes narrowed as Alice hissed at the Lion. "I always like to know the name of my opponent. When they die I shall remember them as a sad soul without a piece of mind." She spat. "So what is it? I wouldn't be surprised if it meant Weak One" she taunted.

"This is your last chance to walk away with your life." Alice said, her tone acid poison. She had kept my stance protective and calm at the same time. The Tigress showed that she would have no mercy for the Lion. "Now if you were a smart Kit" I sneered, "Then you would have had your own kill like a small deer. But no! You decide to eat from what others had caught, use the color of your pelt for an excuse, and a pathetic one that is!"

Ruko was terrified. Completely terrified. Both of the cats had seen her, and one of them was probably going to kill her. Yet they didn't. They shifted their attention to each other. Ruko let out a breathe she hadn't realized she was holding in when she realized they weren't going to kill her. One she could probably escape from, as she was quite fast, even for an ocelot. But two... they'd be able to trap her and kill her. She shuddered slightly at the thought.

When the lion attacked the tiger, a rationale part of her brain told her to go now, when they had practically forgotten she was there. But Ruko was frozen in terror, and couldn't move a muscle. Her tail twitched slightly, telling her legs to go, but it was as if her mind was disconnected from her body. It just refused to move.

Ruko took a few deep breaths, and stood up quietly, trying not to draw any attention to herself. She began to slowly back away from the two fighting cats. CRACK! She had stepped on a twig! Wincing, she hoped the two huge cats were too into their fight to notice her. She really didn't want to die before she had ever found the Traitors.

"My name is Sain, but I wont die here. This is a warm up, so I can show how strong I am to the traitors, don't ya see?" Said growled. Suddenly, he heard a crack. His eyes looked at the smaller cat who had been watching them. He then turned back to the tigress. "As long as I'm strong, no one will beat me," he added, Turning as the tigress circled him.

He snarled at the smaller cat quickly, showing that he wouldn't let her go and then roared at the tigress. He then ran towards her, leaping as soon as he was close enough. His eyes weere blazing with fury.

"Sain...Intersting name." The black and white cat mused lightly. Alice continued to circle the lion and taunt him more. Push him off his edge. "Traitors you say?" She asked shocked. He didn't seem like the Traitor type. I thought he would stand with the twolegs and fight off the Traitors. "I wouldn't be so confident, if you get too cocky all that luck of winning goes away." Warned.

There was a small cracking noise coming from bushes. Oh for the love of all that is pure and Holy! the Tigress thought rolling my eyes. When the Lion roared Alice cringed a little. When he leaped at her Alice let out a roar of her own and snarled, going into a crouch. When he got close, she leaped at him and tried to tackled him down. The icy blue eyes glowed in anger and blood lust as her blood boiled like acid.

Sain snarled as he was tackled. He growled in pain as blood ran from his side. He battered her stomach with his hind paws and dugs his front claws into her shoulders. He bit up towards her neck, but instead caught her right leg. He bit hard into it, hopefully getting her off of him. "Not bad," he growled around her leg. His ears lay flat on his head and his tail lashed. He didn't know what would happen, but he hoped he wouldn't die. Atleast not yet. His paws and legs were white from the snow and as the battle ragged on it began to melt from all the blood, sending it down into his fur. He shivered slightly, but ignored it.

Alice growled as she felt the Lion's claws Peirce her skin. Her should stung but it wasn't that bad. She swatted his face trying to scratch his eye. The Tigress has never fought a Lion before and she wasn't going to die from this one. There was another sharp pain in her leg. She swore under her breath and tried to bite the Lions ear before kicking him off her. She saw the once pure white snow had become crimson red as the two large cats fought over a buck. "Not so bad you self!" She called back. She went back into a low crouch ready to pounce on the Lion again. "This is my kill! Go find your own!" She growled. The lion was pushing Alice off her edge so she was going to push back. "Oh ya! Thats right! Your just a little Kit, too young to go hunting by himself" She taunted.
