Relic jumped from rock to rock, he slipped at one point and landed with a thump on the ground. Since he had ventured away from the pack he had felt a little lonly, but anything was better than staying with that boring bunch, they never wanted to do what he want.
He sighed, and trotted along, he breathed in the crisp cool air, he loved winter, it was his best time. Relic looked around, there was no prey at all, 'Aww! I'm hungry!' He complained out loud to himself. From what he could see there was no one else around.
The wind picked up, the cold air chilling his body, in summer he had lost a load of fur, but no in winter, his fur was at its fullest, thick beautiful fur. He looked around again, then put his nose to the ground, 'Maybe I can find something to eat under the ground?' He question, snuffling the cold hard ground.

She had been watching like the snow leopard like a hawk the moment he moved onto the territory. Caira kept herself hidden high up and away from any possible danger. Smiling with amusement, Caira thought it was a funny site to see a leopard fall onto the ground. Had he no balance at all? She wondered this to herself as she gazed down below. Her own small body was stretched out; she had been running around all day and was worn out.
Sniffing the air she felt a cool wind whip at her nose and dry out her blue eyes. Her ears pricked up at the sight of his small howling complaint. This was nothing new however, there was hardly any food in this territory anymore, and Caira had been making dangerous journeys outside the border just to bring something back for her pack.
It was always a concern for her that the pack would not be able to make it through another cold year. So far she had only succeeded in dragging back small rabbits and other creatures. She knew that what they really needed was a wave of caribou through here once again; rumor had it that the two legs had been spotted taking away this supply of food though.
Tearing herself away from these thoughts she looked down below at the leopard, who was now attempting to find food underground. Caira could only shake herself sadly, pushing herself up from her feet; she jumped down a few rocks. Quietly creeping down she landed on a smaller rock only a few feet away from where he stood. "You won't find anything down there. Most everything is gone now." Caira laid down on the rock and tilted her head to the side.

Relic jumped with a start as an adult wolf jumped down, he flicked his tail from side to side, ears laid back. He hissed at the wolf. "You won't find anything down there. Most everything is gone now." Relic looked at her with distrustful murky blue eyes. 'And how would you know?' He said, trying to stop his voice for shaking. He had never really encountered a wolf outside of his home.
Relic stratched at the ground with his claws, then, quite suddenly started digging even more, finding sticks under the ground. Snow flicked him in the eyes but he didn't care, this was intersting, and fun. [By the way. Relic is a Snow Leopard ]

The hiss is what stopped her from moving any closer, but she hadn't planned on it. Caira was comfortably perched high enough away from the leopard where she could safely rest. It was rare to see someone trespass into her territory, unless of course they were in search of a home. But Leopards were not included, nor were they welcome into her pack. Not that she would have minded, but it was the way of the lands and she had to respect the separation. "I would not act in such a manner over here. You could find yourself in trouble as a trespasser to the Canitao pack."
Her eyes grazed over the barren land, with a frown her thoughts turned once more again to food. Things would have to get better around here, but it didn't help to have cats taking away from them. "You shouldn't be taking what's not yours. After all you wouldn't want the alpha to find out." She lifted her tail up and down again, as her eyes flashed a look at the snow leopard. He was way out of his element and it was easy to read by his expressions. If he was trying to scare her it wouldn't work, he was too far from home and one call would bring several running. Not that she would need to call on anyone else, Caira could handle herself even if she looked like a young pup.

Relic turned back to the wolf, looking annoyed, he puffed out his fur, trying to make himself look bigger and older than what he really was. 'So? If all your pack is wolves, then I have the upper hand.' He said a sharped tooth-grin appearing on his face. 'Cats can climb. Wolves can't I know that for a fact, becuase I easily evaded fellow pack mates by climbing a tree.' He smirked, moving his tail. The wolf was still high up, and Relic knew that he was no match, because, he was still just a cub, only just reaching the juniour years.
Relic sat down, licking his paw. Not bothered about moving anywhere, this land was interesting. He wondered why no prey came here. Probably because theres no grass...Or maybe..No...
'Why do you have a pack in such a....' He didn't know how to put it, so he changed his sentance structer. 'Why do you have a pack where there is no prey?' He asked, feeling nosy.

The only thing Caira could help doing was laugh at this younger feline, "That may be so but unless I'm blind I don't see any trees out here. These are hunting grounds; the only trees you're going to find are out past the dens on the other side. You'd have to walk straight through the packs area, but you'd be surrounded in less than a few seconds." She could not be easily fooled by the leopard, he was lacking experience and she could probably have taken him down as an alpha and escape with a few minor injuries. "You could always try to run and hide on top of these rocks but...even a wolf can climb these. After all I did." Caira knew he probably hadn't been thinking clearly, if he had he wouldn't have placed himself in such danger.
"Oh, I am the alpha by the way. Surprise." Her voice carried no emotion in it whatsoever. Those that lived around her had grown used to the way she was. "And I know how to jump around on these rocks fairly easy I'd be more than able to catch up. You should calm down though; I don't plan on fighting you." Caira's smile faded away until she was once more just staring down at him trying to decide how much she should really be telling him. "Look around you and you can find your answer. This territory is far away from where you probably came from, which is the way we prefer to live. While there are some wolves that are bloodthirsty, most of us just want to be left alone. I want to avoid death at all costs."
She glared down at him for only a second or two, "But sometimes there is an intruder. This is rare of course; each territory has the upper hand easily. You probably know this from where you are though, everyone adapts and learns to use it to their advantage." Looking around she frowned at herself, "There is prey, but not enough to share. All of the food underground has already been distributed to those that live here." Feeling cramped she sat up and shook her head.

Relic got tired and bored of the alpha talking, he yawned and stretched a little. 'Well. I was only exploring.' He said not even bothering to llooked at her, because he was looking at everything, seeing what way he could go next. 'I wasn't planning to bump into a pack.'
'wolves can climb trees too' Relic looked suprised, wolves dont have the claws, or the body! 'Hell they can! You dont have what it takes, how is that even possible!' He said, giving the female a disbelieving glance, how could she have climbed a tree. he looked her up and down, wolves have never done it, they cant.. Surely..its impossible?

Caira stared down at him confused as to what was so surprising, "Of course we can climb rocks. I'm up here aren't I?" This leopard was strange indeed, she even found it funny. His oddities were a whole new territory for her, "Are other cats just as strange and funny as you?" Stretching her limbs she jumped down to the ground a little ways from where the leopard was standing. After going without water all day Caira became thirsty and decided the best way to hydrate herself was to eat some of the snow. This was common among wolves, especially when they didn't always have a water source to rely. As it grew colder it could only mean that their lakes and rivers would soon be dry.
"You should probably be getting home." Her voice trailed off as she started to wander down the path to the dens slowly. Dipping her nose into the ground she shook her coat white coat off. As she soft powder fell from her coat she looked over at the leopard almost feeling sorry for him. It still amazed her that he had come over here, if only the other new from the council this would be seen as a big ordeal. But he wasn't a threat so this didn't bother her; she worried more about his life than her own. "It will be getting late soon. Won't your pack start searching for you?"

Relic snorted. 'They wouldn't bopther, they know that i go out and they dont seem to care.' he sdtood up, stretched then bounded after the wolf. 'Why would I want to go back. They are boring.' He spoke looking over his shoulder.
He yawned. Then looked back at the wolf. 'So. Whats it like living out here? And wahst your name? I am Relic.' He said boldly. Trying to keep up with the strides of the female.

Pausing she stopped and then rounded on him, "because that is where your loyalty is, they are your family." Caira didn't care much for using the term "family" but to her it was true. Even if she never strayed too long in one place this was her home, and the wolves that lived here were the only things she had close to a family. Walking on she continued at the same pace, "They may be boring but it's always a safe place you can return to. You should feel lucky for that." Out here Caira enjoyed the crisp air as her small body took careful but strong steps through the snow. With so much of the ground that was buried beneath it, you had to be careful not to step on anything sharp.
Then decided to answer his question, she looked at him. "Most of the time it's cold, but it's also very nice out. There is always something to do, swimming, running, whatever you can think of really." She craned her neck forward in an attempt to stretch it without stopping. "Relic." She said the name out loud as if testing it. "My name's Caira."
